Reactivity: rat
Articlecode: 03-16051
Product: Anti-Neurokinin A/Substance K
Catalog #: 03-16051
Amount: 50 ml
CATEGORY: Rabbit polyclonal
IMMUNOGEN: Neurokinin A/Substance K (Peninsula), conjugated to BSA
FORM: Serum containing 0.09% sodium azide
DESCRIPTION/SPECIFICITY: Neurokinin A/Substance K represents a member of the tachykinin family of peptides. Neurokinin A, which arises by cleavage of the substance P precursor, occurs in neurons in the central and peripheral nervous systems, and is particularly numerous in the gastrointestinal tract. The biological actions of neurokinin A are similar to those of subastance P, and include vasodilation and stimulation of smooth muscle contraction. Absorption with 10-100 mg NKA per ml diluted antiserum abolishes the staining, while substance P does not.
POSTIVE CONTROL: Formalin-fixed paraffin sections of rat colon.
