Antibodies, monoclonal | N | Nucleolar Protein NO38, anti-chicken, Xenopus

Format: Purified; Reactivity: chicken, Xenopus
Articlecode: 03-612123

Product:        Anti-Nucleolar Protein NO38
Catalog #:        03-612123
Amount:        50 ml

CATEGORY: Mouse monoclonal
CLONE DETERMINATION: No-63
IMMUNOGLOBULIN CLASS: IgG2a
IMMUNOGEN: Nucleolar fraction prepared from Xenopus laevis oocytes
FORM: Ascites containing 0.05% NaN3
ANTIGEN RECOGNIZED IN SPECIES (tested so far): Xenopus laevis, X. borealis, XLKE-A6 cells; Pleurodelis waltl, Triturus cristatus, chicken
CLINICAL APPLICATION/SPECIFICITY: The antibody recognizes a 38 kD nucleolar protein (NO38) in
Xenopus (this protein has also been termed B23, nucleophosmin, numatrin in other species). NO63 stains specifically the granular component of the nucleolus ans small nucleolar dots in interphase cells. During mitosis the protein is localized accumulated around the condensed chromosomes.
APPLICATION: Immunoblotting (western)
Immunoprecipitation (from Xenopus oocyte extracts nucleoplasmin -a 30 kD protein- is co-precipitated, which shows high sequence homology to NO38)
Immunofluorescence microscopy on frozen sections (also after fixation with paraformaldehyde)
WORKING DILUTION: 1:300 to 1:500 for Immunofluorescence
1:000 to 1: 2000 for immunoblotting (ECL method)
INCUBATION TIME: 1 h at room temperature
STORAGE: 2-8°C for immediate use or at -20°C (aliquot)
