CLINICAL APPLICATION/
SPECIFICITY: Serotonin is produced by endocrine cells of the stomach, duodenum and ileum. The serotonin antibody can be used to differentiate tumors of the serotoninergic origin. The antigen localization is cytoplasmic. Absorption with 10-100 mg immunogen per ml diluted antiserum abolishes the staining.

Immunohistochemistry of frozen and paraffin-embedded sections; no proteolytic treatment required.
RECOMMENDED for POSITIVE CONTROL: Duodenum
WORKING DILUTION: 1:20 to 1:40 for immunohistochemistry
DILUTION BUFFER: PBS containing 0.5% BSA and 0.1% NaN3
INCUBATION TIME: Overnight at 2-8°C for immunohistochemical application
STORAGE: 2-8°C for immediate use, or at -20°C (aliquot)
