CLINICAL APPLICATION/SPECIFICITY: Substance P occurs in the cytoplasm of nerve fibers of the central and peripheral nervous system and in endocrine cells of the gut. The substance P antibody can be used for the diagnosis of ileum carcinoids. The antiserum is reactive in humans and rat.
APPLICATION: Immunohistochemistry of frozen sections
RECOMMENDED FOR POSITIVE CONTROL: Spinal Cord (dorsal horn), colon
INCUBATION TIME: 1 hour at room temperature for immunohistochemical application.
WORKING DILUTION: 1:25, optimal dilution should be tested by serial dilution.
DILUTION BUFFER: PBS with 1% BSA and 0.1% Sodium Azide.
STORAGE: 2-8°C for immediate use, or at -20°C (aliquot)
