Description
This rabbit polyclonal antibody was raised against residues 128-140 (C-terminus) of mouse Survivin, a 17 kDa protein expressed predominantly in embryonic tissues, and in most transformed cell lines. Survivin is a member of the IAPs (Inhibitor of Apoptosis Proteins), a family of conserved proteins that bind and inhibit proteases involved in the apoptotic pathway. Survivin interacts with the processed form of caspase-3 and inhibits its proteolytic activity.
Usage
For research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. This polyclonal antibody has been reported for use in immunoblotting (WB).
Applications Tested
This polyclonal antibody can be used for immunoblotting (1:500-1:1000 dilution) of mouse Survivin from spleen cell lysate as a positive control. It is recommended that the reagent be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest.
