This kit is used for the detection of antibody (IgG, IgM) to
Treponema pallidum existing in a test sample (serum or
plasma). Antibody to Treponema pallidum in the test sample
and enzyme-labeled antibody to Treponema pallidum in the
conjugation solution react competitively with antigens coated
on the microwell plate and excessive conjugate solution which
doesn't react is removed by washing. At this time, the
conjugate solution combined with the antigen on the plate
makes a color development with the substrate solution
(mixture of substrate buffer solution and TMB concentrate) in
inverse proportion to the amount of antibody to Trponema
pallidum in the test sample. The more antibody exists in the
test sample, the less amount of HRP-conjugated antibody
combined with antigens on the plate is and the lower the
optical density becomes.
