DESCRIPTION: Recombinant human Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (rHuTSH)
rHuTSH is a heterodimeric glycoprotein produced CHO cells comprised of 2 non-covalently linked subunits-an á subunit of 92 amino acids & a â subunit of 118 amino acids and having a total molecular mass of 35,500 Dalton. The rHuTSH is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

PURITY: > 98%, as determined by:
(a) Analysis by RP-HPLC and Anion-exchange FPLC.
(b) Analysis by reducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE Silver Stained gel.
PROTEIN CONTENT: Protein quantitation was carried out by 2 independent methods:
- UV spectroscopy at 280 nm
- Analysis by RP-HPLC, using a standard solution of hMG as a Reference Standard
FORM: Purified, in 36mg mannitol, 5.1mg sodium phosphate and 2.4mg sodium chloride, containing 0.1 % BSA
STORAGE: -20°C (aliquot), avoid freezing and thawing cycles
BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITY: rHuTSH is biologically active compared to standard. The activity measured by the amount of cyclic monophosphate (cAMP) produced by a bovine thyroid-derived microsome preparation in response to the rHuTSH was found to be >4IU/mg.
