DESCRIPTION: Recombinant human tissue Plasminogen Activator (rHutPA)
rHutPA is a non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 527 amino acids and having a molecular weight of 59,008.71 Dalton. rHutPA is a serine protease enzyme that converts plasminogen to plasmin.
SOURCE: Chinese Hamster Ovary Cells (CHO)
PURITY: > 98%, as determined by:
(a) Analysis by RP-HPLC and anion-exchange FPLC
(b) Analysis by reducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE Silver Stained gel
ENDOTOXIN: Less than 0.1 ng/µg (IEU/µg) of rHutPA
DIMERS & AGGREGATES: Less than 1% as determined by silver stained SDS-PAGE gel analysis
PROTEIN CONTENT: Protein quantitation was carried out by two independent methods:
- UV spectroscopy at 280 nm
- Analysis by RP-HPLC, using a standard solution of rHutPA as a Reference Standard
FORM: Purified, in 1.7gr L-arginine, 0.5gr phosphoric acid and 4mg tween 80, containing 0.1% BSA
STORAGE: -20°C (aliquot), avoid freezing and thawing cycles
BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITY: rHutPA is fully biologically active when compared to to World Health Organization (WHO) reference standard which is 580,000IU/mg.
