Reactivity: Human
Articlecode: 03-62052
Product: sm RNP (B'B & D Proteins)
Catalog #: 03-62052
Amount: 20 mg
SOURCE: HeLa Cells (human cell line)
MOLECULAR WEIGHT: 28,000 (B); 28,500 (B''); 29,000 (B') (SDS-PAGE)
ISOELECTRIC POINT: pHI: 10
APPLICATION: Reference protein in SDS-PAGE and immuno blotting (Western blotting) or dot blotting
1-2 µg protein per lane is sufficient for SDS-PAGE
0.5 µg protein sufficient for dot or immunoblotting
Coating protein for immunoassays
50 ng-100ng protein per well is sufficient
The B,B'- proteins are targets for anti-Sm sera.
Autoimmune antibodies against these proteins are present in sera from patients with SLE and MCTD.
Some anti-RNP sera show also a reactivity against B,B' proteins, but normally with weak titer.
Some antibodies against the B'' protein show cross-reactivity with the A protein.
RECONSTITUTION: When reconstituted with 200µl H20 bidest, solution will contain 25mM Tris, 190mM Glycin, pH 8.3, 0.025 % (w/v) SDS with a protein conc. of 0.1 mg/ml (according to Bradford protein determination). For SDS-PAGE and immunoblotting reconstitution with 200 µl Laemmli buffer is recommended.
PURITY & IDENTITY: Preparation shows one double band at 28 kDa in SDS-PAGE analysis. These bands are specifically immunoreactive with an anti Sm mAb (H126 cat. #03-61052)
STORAGE: 2-8°C for immediate use, or at -20°C (aliquot)
