Background:
serine and arginine rich splicing factor 7(SRSF7) Homo sapiens The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the serine/arginine (SR)-rich family of pre-mRNA splicing factors, which constitute part of the spliceosome. Each of these factors contains an RNA recognition motif (RRM) for binding RNA and an RS domain for binding other proteins. The RS domain is rich in serine and arginine residues and facilitates interaction between different SR splicing factors. In addition to being critical for mRNA splicing, the SR proteins have also been shown to be involved in mRNA export from the nucleus and in translation. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2010],
Alternative Names:
SRSF7, SFRS7, Serine/arginine-rich splicing factor 7, Splicing factor 9G8, Splicing factor, arginine/serine-rich 7
Immunogen: The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human SFRS7. AA range:61-110
Isotype: Rabbit
Purification: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen.
Concentration: 1 mg/ml
Observed band: 35
GeneID: SRSF7
Storage: -20°C/1 year
