Background:
Human thiol dioxygenases include cysteine dioxygenase (CDO; MIM 603943) and cysteamine (2-aminoethanethiol) dioxygenase (ADO; EC 1.13.11.19). CDO adds 2 oxygen atoms to free cysteine, whereas ADO adds 2 oxygen atoms to free cysteamine to form hypotaurine (Dominy et al., 2007 [PubMed 17581819]).[supplied by OMIM].
Other Names:
2-aminoethanethiol dioxygenase, Cysteamine dioxygenase, ADO, C10orf22
Target/Specificity:
This ADO antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 206-233 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human ADO.
Antigen Region:
206-233
Antigen Type: Synthetic Peptide
Gene Name: ADO
Gene ID: 84890
Primary Accession: Q96SZ5
NCBI Accession: NP_116193.2
Other Accession: NP_116193.2
Format: Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
