Description
The AGXT gene provides instructions for making a liver enzyme called alanine-glyoxylate aminotransferase.Inside liver cells, this enzyme is found in peroxisomes, structures that contain many different enzymes used toproduce energy and the basic materials important for cellular activities. AGXT converts a compound calledglyoxylate to glycine, an amino acid that is a building block for making enzymes and other proteins.Alternative Names
Serpin B5, Protease inhibitor 5, SERPINB5, alanine-glyoxylate aminotransferase, AGXT1, PH1, AGT,SPT, AGT1, oxalosis I, primary hyperoxaluria type 1, L-alanine: glyoxylate aminotransferase 1,serine:pyruvate aminotransferase, glycolicaciduriaConcentration
1mg/ml (determined by BCA assay)Concentration
Liquid in. Phosphate-Buffered Saline (pH 7.4) with 0.02% Sodium Azide, 10% glycerolStorage: Can be stored at +2C to +8C for 1 week. For long term storage, aliquot and store at -20C to -80C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles.
