Description: Rabbit IgG polyclonal antibody for Gamma-secretase subunit APH-1A(APH1A) detection. Tested with WB in Human;Mouse.Protein Name: Gamma-secretase subunit APH-1A
Protein Function:
Essential subunit of the gamma-secretase complex, an endoprotease complex that catalyzes the intramembrane cleavage of integral proteins such as Notch receptors and APP (beta-amyloid precursor protein). It probably represents a stabilizing cofactor for the presenilin homodimer that promotes the formation of a stable complex. .
Other Names: Gamma-secretase subunit APH-1A, APH-1a, Aph-1alpha, Presenilin-stabilization factor, APH1A, PSF
Subcellular Localization: Endoplasmic reticulum membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Golgi apparatus, Golgi stack membrane; Multi- pass membrane protein. Predominantly located in the endoplasmic reticulum and in the cis-Golgi.
Tissue Specificity: Widely expressed. Expressed in leukocytes, lung, placenta, small intestine, liver, kidney, spleen thymus, skeletal muscle, heart and brain. Isoform 1 and isoform 2 are nearly expressed at the same level. .
Gene ID: 51107
Immunogen: A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence at the C-terminus of human APH1a (236-265aa LRSIQRSLLCRRQEDSRVMVYSALRIPPED), different from the related mouse sequence by one amino acid.
Calculated MW: 28996
Purification: Immunogen affinity purified.
Format: Lyophilized
Reconstitution: Add 0.2ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500ug/ml.
Contents: Each vial contains 5mg BSA, 0.9mg NaCl, 0.2mg Na2HPO4, 0.05mg NaN3.
Concentration (mg/ml): Add 0.2ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500ug/ml.
Storage: At -20˚C for one year. After reconstitution, at 4˚C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20˚C for a longer time.Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
