Background:
A conserved feature of APRT is the distribution of CpG dinucleotides. This enzyme catalyzes the formation of AMP and inorganic pyrophosphate from adenine and 5-phosphoribosyl-1-pyrophosphate (PRPP). It also produces adenine as a by-product of the polyamine biosynthesis pathway. A homozygous deficiency in this enzyme causes 2,8-dihydroxyadenine urolithiasis.
Other Names:
Adenine phosphoribosyltransferase, APRT, APRT
Target/Specificity:
This APRT antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 143-170 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human APRT.
Antigen Region:
143-170
Antigen Type: Synthetic Peptide
Gene Name: APRT (HGNC:626)
Gene ID: 353
Primary Accession: P07741
NCBI Accession: NP_000476.1;NP_001025189.1
Format: Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
