Description: Rabbit IgG polyclonal antibody for Cytochrome P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) detection. Tested with WB, IHC-P in human, mouse, rat.
Protein Name: Cytochrome P450 1A2
Background:
Cytochromes P450 are a group of heme-thiolate monooxygenases. In liver microsomes, this enzyme is involved in an NADPH-dependent electron transport pathway. It oxidizes a variety of structurally unrelated compounds, including steroids, fatty acids, and xenobiotics. Most active in catalyzing 2-hydroxylation. Caffeine is metabolized primarily by cytochrome CYP1A2 in the liver through an initial N3-demethylation. Also acts in the metabolism of aflatoxin B1 and acetaminophen. Participates in the bioactivation of carcinogenic aromatic and heterocyclic amines. Catalizes the N-hydroxylation of heterocyclic amines and the O- deethylation of phenacetin. .
Other Names:
Cytochrome P450 1A2, 1.14.14.1, CYPIA2, Cholesterol 25-hydroxylase, Cytochrome P(3)450, Cytochrome P450 4, Cytochrome P450-P3, CYP1A2
Subcellular Localization: Endoplasmic reticulum membrane; Peripheral membrane protein. Microsome membrane; Peripheral membrane protein.
Tissue Specificity: Liver.
Gene ID: 1544
Immunogen: E.coli-derived human CYP1A2 recombinant protein (Position: H185-D320). Human CYP1A2 shares 69.9% and 72.1% amino acid (aa) sequence identity with mouse and rat CYP1A2, respectively.
Calculated MW: 58407
Purification: Immunogen affinity purified.
Format: Lyophilized
Contents: Each vial contains 5mg BSA, 0.9 mg NaCl, 0.2mg Na2HPO4, 0.05 mg NaN3.
Concentration (mg/ml): Add 0.2 ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500 µg/ml.
Storage: At -20˚C for one year. After reconstitution, at 4˚C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20˚C for a longer time. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
