Protein Family: Enzymes, Transcription Factors
Pathway and Disease: Cancers, Cell Growth and Death, Transcription, Signaling Molecules and Interaction
Description:
ASPP1 (Apoptosis-stimulating of p53 protein 1, Protein phosphatase 1 regulatory subunit 13B, PPP1R13B) plays a central role in regulating apoptosis via its interaction with p53. ASPP1 acts on p53 by enhancing the DNA binding and transactivation function of p53 on the promoters of proapoptotic genes in vivo. The expression of ASPP1 is frequently downregulated in human breast carcinomas expressing wild-type p53 but not mutant p53.
Alternate Names: ASPP1, Apoptosis-stimulating of p53 protein 1, Protein phosphatase 1 regulatory subunit 13B, PPP1R13B, KIAA0771
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:100-1:500; IHC: 1:100-1:500
Accession No.: Q96KQ4
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the N-term region of human ASPP1.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4, 25% glycerol, 5 mg/ml BSA with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-A affinity chromatography.
