Background:
This gene encodes a subunit of mitochondrial ATP synthase.Mitochondrial ATP synthase catalyzes ATP synthesis, utilizing anelectrochemical gradient of protons across the inner membraneduring oxidative phosphorylation. ATP synthase is composed of twolinked multi-subunit complexes: the soluble catalytic core, F1, andthe membrane-spanning component, Fo, comprising the proton channel. The catalytic portion of mitochondrial ATP synthase consists of 5different subunits (alpha, beta, gamma, delta, and epsilon)assembled with a stoichiometry of 3 alpha, 3 beta, and a singlerepresentative of the other 3. The proton channel consists of threemain subunits (a, b, c). This gene encodes the delta subunit of thecatalytic core. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encodingthe same isoform have been identified.
Other Names:
ATP synthase subunit delta, mitochondrial, F-ATPase delta subunit, ATP5D
Gene Name: ATP5F1D (HGNC:837)
Gene ID: 513
Primary Accession: P30049
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
