Background:
This gene encodes a component of vacuolar ATPase(V-ATPase), a multisubunit enzyme that mediates acidification ofeukaryotic intracellular organelles. V-ATPase dependent organelleacidification is necessary for such intracellular processes asprotein sorting, zymogen activation, receptor-mediated endocytosis, and synaptic vesicle proton gradient generation. V-ATPase iscomposed of a cytosolic V1 domain and a transmembrane V0 domain. The V1 domain consists of three A,three B, and two G subunits, aswell as a C, D, E, F, and H subunit. The V1 domain contains the ATPcatalytic site. This gene encodes alternate transcriptional splicevariants, encoding different V1 domain C subunit isoforms.
Other Names:
V-type proton ATPase subunit C 2, V-ATPase subunit C 2, Vacuolar proton pump subunit C 2, ATP6V1C2
Gene Name: ATP6V1C2
Gene ID: 245973
Primary Accession: Q8NEY4
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
