Background:
The protein encoded by this gene acts as receptor for arginine vasopressin. This receptor belongs to the subfamily of G-protein coupled receptors which includes AVPR1B, V2R and OXT receptors. Its activity is mediated by G proteins which stimulate a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. The receptor mediates cell contraction and proliferation, platelet aggregation, release of coagulation factor and glycogenolysis. [provided by RefSeq].
Other Names:
Vasopressin V1a receptor, V1aR, AVPR V1a, Antidiuretic hormone receptor 1a, Vascular/hepatic-type arginine vasopressin receptor, AVPR1A, AVPR1
Target/Specificity:
This AVPR1A antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 355-383 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human AVPR1A.
Antigen Region:
355-383
Antigen Type: Synthetic Peptide
Gene Name: AVPR1A
Gene ID: 552
Primary Accession: P37288
NCBI Accession: NP_000697.1
Other Accession: NP_000697.1
Format: Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
