Background:
Binds to oleoyl-L-alpha-lysophosphatidic acid (LPA). Intracellular cAMP is involved in the receptor activation. Important for the maintenance of hair growth and texture.
Subcellular Localization: Cell membrane.
Tissue Specificity: Expressed ubiquitously, including in skin and hair follicle cells. Detected in both Henle's and Huxley's layers of the inner root sheath of the hair follicle and in suprabasal layers of the epidermis (at protein level). Expressed at low levels in peripheral blood leukocytes.
Immunogen: A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence of human P2RY5 (DTIQNSIKMKNWSVRRSDFRFSEVHGAENFIQHNLQTLK).

Contents: Each vial contains 4 mg Trehalose, 0.9 mg NaCl, 0.2mg Na2HPO4, 0.05 mg NaN3.
Storage: At -20˚C; for one year. After reconstitution, at 4˚C; for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20˚C; for a longer time. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
