Protein Family: Transcription Factors
Pathway and Disease: Cancers, Cell Growth and Death, Signal Transduction, Transcription
Description:
c-Jun/AP-1 (Transcription factor AP-1) forms the AP-1 early response transcription factor in combination with c-Fos. It is activated by double phosphorylation via the JNK pathway, and by PRKDC, but also has a phosphorylation-independent function. c-Jun binds to the enhancer heptamer motif 5'TGA[CG]TCA-3'. It interacts with numerous proteins that may effect its activity including but not limited to FOS, BATF3, HIVEP3, SMAD3/SMAD4, MYBBP1A, SP1, SPIB, TCF20, COPS5, DSIPI, THIF1, ERG, CREB binding protein, Retinoblastoma protein, BRCA1, TATA binding protein, MAPK8, RUNX proteins, STAT1, BCL.
Alternate Names: c-Jun, C-jun/AP-1 , Oncoprotein C-jun: active protein 1, Transcription factor AP-1, Activator protein 1, AP1, Proto-oncogene c-jun, V-jun avian sarcoma virus 17 oncogene homolog, p39, JUN
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:100-1:500; IHC: 1:100-1:500
Accession No.: P05412
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the C-term region of human c-Jun.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4 with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-G affinity chromatography.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment.
