Protein Family: Peptidases
Pathway and Disease: Cell Growth and Death, Folding, Sorting and Degradation, Neurodegenerative Disorders
Description:
Calpain-1 catalytic subunit (Calpain-1) is a calcium-regulated non-lysosomal thiol-protease which catalyzes limited proteolysis of substrates involved in cytoskeletal remodeling and signal transduction. Calpain-1 is activated by micromolar concentrations of calcium and inhibited by calpastatin.
Alternate Names: Calpain-1, Calpain-1 catalytic subunit, Calpain-1 large subunit, Calcium-activated neutral proteinase 1, CANP 1, Calpain mu-type, muCANP, Micromolar-calpain, Cell proliferation-inducing gene 30 protein, CAPN1, CANPL1
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:100-1:500; IHC: 1:100-1:500
Accession No.: P07384
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the C-term region of mouse calpain-1.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4, 25% glycerol, 1 mg/ml BSA with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-A affinity chromatography.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment.
