Background:
Calpains are a family of cytosolic calcium-activated cysteine proteases involved in a variety of cellular processes including apoptosis, cell division, modulation of integrin-cytoskeletal interactions, and synaptic plasticity (Dear et al., 2000 [PubMed 10964513]). CAPN13 belongs to the calpain large subunit family.
Other Names:
Calpain-13, 3422-, Calcium-activated neutral proteinase 13, CANP 13, CAPN13
Target/Specificity:
This CAPN13 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 537-565 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human CAPN13.
Antigen Region:
537-565
Antigen Type: Synthetic Peptide
Gene Name: CAPN13
Gene ID: 92291
Primary Accession: Q6MZZ7
NCBI Accession: NP_653176.2
Other Accession: Q3UW68; NP_653176.2
Format: Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
