Protein Family: Peptidases, Enzymes.
Pathway and Disease: Immune System, Signaling Molecules and Interaction
Alternate Names: CPN; SCPN; Carboxypeptidase N polypeptide 1; Carboxypeptidase N small subunit; Serum carboxypeptidase N; Carboxypeptidase N catalytic chain; Lysine carboxypeptidase; Arginine carboxypeptidase; Kininase-1; Anaphylatoxin inactivator; Plasma carboxypeptidase B; CPN1; ACBP
Accession No.: P15169, NP_001299
Description:
Carboxypeptidase N (CPN1) protects the body from potent vasoactive and inflammatory peptides containing C-terminal Arg or Lys,such as kinins or anaphylatoxins, which are released into the circulatory system.
Format:
Each vial contains 0.1 mg of lyophilized peptide. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml deionized water for a final concentration of 1 mg/ml. Use at 5.6 ug/ml for a 100X excess over antibody for maximum blocking effect.
MW: 2015.2 g/mol
Sequence:
The synthetic peptide used to raise the antibody Cat. No. 200207 is selected from a sequence within the N-term region of Carboxypeptidase N. For blocking experiments, a 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended.
Composition:
C87H139N25O28S1
Purity:
> 80% by HPLC
Solubility:
Distilled water for a solution up to 2 mg/ml, otherwise we recommend using acetonitrile.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. The product is hygroscopic and must be protected from light. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment. Following reconstitution, store at -20°C.
