Background:
Eotaxin and the monocyte chemotactic proteins, MCP-1–5, form a subfamily of the C-Cr or β-chemokines, which are characterized by a set of conserved adjacent cysteines. MCPs are produced by a variety of cells, including T lymphocytes, subsequent to their activation with cytokines such as IL-1, TNFα, and IFN-γ. In vitro studies have shown that the MCP isoforms exhibit their chemotactic effects on different subpopulations of lymphocytes. MCP-3 has been shown to have the broadest range of influence, activating monocytes, dendritic cells, lymphocytes, NK cells, eosinophils, basophils and neutrophils.
Alternative Name:
C-C motif chemokine 7, Monocyte chemoattractant protein 3, Monocyte chemotactic protein 3, MCP-3, NC28, Small-inducible cytokine A7, CCL7, MCP3, SCYA6, SCYA7
Application Dilution: WB: 1:500~1:1000
Specificity: CCL7 polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of CCL7 protein.
Immunogen:
A synthetic peptide corresponding to residues in Human CCL7.
MW: ~ 11 kDa
Swis Prot.: P80098
Purification & Purity:
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Format:
1 mg/ml in Phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide, approx. pH 7.3.
Storage:
Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
