Background:
CCT2 is a molecular chaperone that is member of the chaperonin containing TCP1 complex (CCT), also known as the TCP1 ring complex (TRiC). This complex consists of two identical stacked rings, each containing eight different proteins. Unfolded polypeptides enter the central cavity of the complex and are folded in an ATP-dependent manner. The complex folds various proteins, including actin and tubulin.

Other Names:
T-complex protein 1 subunit beta, TCP-1-beta, CCT-beta, CCT2, 99D81, CCTB

Target/Specificity:
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP2889a was selected from the N-term region of human CCT2. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.

Gene Name: CCT2

Gene ID: 10576
Primary Accession: P78371
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
