Description:
Alpha-E integrin is a receptor for E-cadherin. Alpha-E integrin mediates adhesion of intra-epithelial T-lymphocytes to epithelial cell monolayers. Alpha-E integrin is a heterodimer of an alpha and a beta subunit. The alpha subunit is composed of a heavy and a light chain linked by a disulfide bond.
