Protein Family: Transporters, Cellular Antigens
Pathway and Disease: Signaling Molecules and Interaction, Immune System, Infectious Diseases
Description:
Monocyte differentiation antigen CD14 (CD14) cooperates with MD-2 and TLR4 to mediate the innate immune response to bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS). CD14 acts via MyD88, TIRAP and TRAF6, leading to NF-kappa-B activation, cytokine secretion and the inflammatory response. CD14 up-regulates cell surface molecules, including adhesion molecules. CD14 is expressed strongly on the surface of monocytes and weakly on the surface of granulocytes.
Alternate Names: Monocyte differentiation antigen CD14, Myeloid cell-specific leucine-rich glycoprotein, CD14, Monocyte differentiation antigen CD14, urinary form, Monocyte differentiation antigen CD14, membrane-bound form
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:100-1:500; IHC: 1:100-1:500
Accession No.: P08571
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the N-term region of human CD14.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4, 25% glycerol, 1 mg/ml BSA with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-A affinity chromatography.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment.
