Protein Family: Cytokines, Cellular Antigens
Pathway and Disease: Signaling Molecules and Interaction, Signal Transduction, Cell Growth and Death, Immune System, Nervous and Sensory Systems, Metabolic Disorders, Infectious Diseases
Description:
Tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily member 6 (Fas ligand, FasL) is a cytokine that binds to TNFRSF6/FAS, a receptor that transduces the apoptotic signal into cells. FasL is involved in cytotoxic T-cell mediated apoptosis and in T-cell development. TNFRSF6/FAS-mediated apoptosis may have a role in the induction of peripheral tolerance, in the antigen-stimulated suicide of mature T-cells, or both. Binding to the decoy receptor TNFRSF6B/DcR3 modulates its effects.
Alternate Names: FasL, Tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily member 6, Fas antigen ligand, Fas ligand, CD95L protein, Apoptosis antigen ligand, APTL, CD178, FASLG, APT1LG1, FASL, TNFSF6
Application Notes: E: 1:10,000-1:50,000; WB: 1:100-1:1,000; IHC: 1:50-1:250
Accession No.: P48023
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the center region of human FasL.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mL of crude serum with 0.09% sodium azide.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment.
