Protein Family: Cellular Antigens, Cytokines
Pathway and Disease: Cancers, Cell Growth and Death, Immune System, Metabolic Disorders, Neurodegenerative Disorders, Signal Transduction, Signaling Molecules and Interaction
Description:
Fas ligand (FasL or CD95L) is a cytokine that binds to TNFRSF6/FAS, a receptor that transduces the apoptotic signal into cells. FasL is involved in cytotoxic T-cell mediated apoptosis and in T-cell development. TNFRSF6/FAS-mediated apoptosis has a role in the induction of peripheral tolerance, in the antigen-stimulated suicide of mature T cells or both. Defects in FasL are the cause of autoimmune lymphoproliferative syndrome 1B (ALPS1B), a childhood syndrome involving hemolytic anemia and thrombocytopenia.
Alternate Names: FasL, Tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily member 6, Fas antigen ligand, Fas ligand, CD95L protein, Apoptosis antigen ligand, APTL, CD178, FASLG, APT1LG1, FASL, TNFSF6
Application Notes: 250646 reacts with both soluble and membrane forms of FasL. E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:200-1:500; IHC: 1:200-1:500
Accession No.: P48023
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the center region of human FasL.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4, 25% glycerol, 5 mg/ml BSA with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-A affinity chromatography.
Storage:
