Background:
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of theTNF-receptor superfamily. This receptor is required for generationand long-term maintenance of T cell immunity. It binds to ligandCD70, and plays a key role in regulating B-cell activation andimmunoglobulin synthesis. This receptor transduces signals thatlead to the activation of NF-kappaB and MAPK8/JNK. Adaptor proteinsTRAF2 and TRAF5 have been shown to mediate the signaling process ofthis receptor. CD27-binding protein (SIVA), a proapoptotic protein, can bind to this receptor and is thought to play an important rolein the apoptosis induced by this receptor.
Other Names:
CD27 antigen, CD27L receptor, T-cell activation antigen CD27, T14, Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 7, CD27, CD27, TNFRSF7
Target/Specificity:
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP13740b was selected from the C-term region of CD27. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
Gene Name: CD27 (HGNC:11922)
Gene ID: 939
Primary Accession: P26842
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
