Background:
CD38(cluster of differentiation38), also known ascyclic ADP ribose hydrolaseis aglycoproteinfound on the surface of many immune cells (white blood cells), includingCD4+,CD8+,B lymphocytesandnatural killer cells. CD38 also functions incell adhesion, signal transductionandcalcium signaling. In humans, the CD38 protein is encoded by the CD38 gene which located on chromosome 4.
Research Area: Immunology, Stem Cells, Cancer, Metabolism
Synonyms:
Acute lymphoblastic leukemia cells antigen CD38, ADP ribosyl cyclase, ADPRC1, CD38 antigen, CD38 molecule, CD38H, Cyclic ADP ribose hydrolase, EC 3.2.2.5, I-19, NIMR5 antigen, p45, T10
Immunogen: Recombinant Human ADP-ribosyl cyclase/cyclic ADP-ribose hydrolase 1 protein
Swissprot: P28907
Gene ID: 952
