Background:
CD3EAP, also known as ASE1, CAST or PAF49, is a 510 amino acid protein that localizes to the nucleus and belongs to the eukaryotic RPA34 RNA polymerase subunit family. Existing as two alternatively spliced isoforms, CD3EAP functions as a component of the Pol I complex, specifically exhibiting DNA-dependent RNA polymerase activity and effectively catalyzing the the conversion of a nucleoside triphosphate into a diphosphate, thereby transcribing DNA into RNA. Isoform 2 of CD3EAP may be a component of the T cell receptor (TCR) complex and is subject to tyrosine phosphorylation in response to TCR stimulation. Both isoforms of CD3EAP are subject to DNA damage-dependent phosphorylation, probably by ATM or ATR.
Alternative Name:
DNA-directed RNA polymerase I subunit RPA34, A34.5, Antisense to ERCC-1 protein, ASE-1, CD3-epsilon-associated protein, CAST, CD3E-associated protein, RNA polymerase I-associated factor PAF49, ASE1, CAST, PAF49
Application Dilution: IHC: 1:50~1:200
Specificity: CD3EAP (E474) polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of CD3EAP protein.
Immunogen:
Synthetic peptide, corresponding to amino acids 451-500 of Human CD3EAP.
MW: ~ 55, 75 kDa
Swis Prot.: O15446
Purification & Purity:
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Format:
1 mg/ml in Phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide, approx. pH 7.2.
Storage:
Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
