Background:
Intercellular adhesion molecule 3 (ICAM3) also known as CD50 (Cluster of Differentiation 50), is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein, which normally contain 2-9 immunoglobulin-like C2-type domains, and binds to the leukocyte adhesion LFA-1 protein. This protein is constitutively and abundantly expressed by all leucocytes and may be the most important ligand for LFA-1 in the initiation of the immune response. It functions not only as an adhesion molecule, but also as a potent signalling molecule. ICAM-3 has previously been implicated in apoptotic cell clearance, although its precise role in the clearance process is ill defined.

Source: JA4 is a mouse monoclonal IgG1/k antibody derived by fusion of mouse Ag8.653 cells with spleen cells from a BALB/c mouse immunized with an ICAM-3/HEK transfectant.
Reactivity: human
Specificity: JA4 recognizes a linear epitope in domains 1 and 2 of ICAM-3.
Form: Each vial contains 100 ﾵl 1 mg/ml purified monoclonal antibody in PBS containing 0.09% sodium azide.
Applications: ELISA, Flow cytometry, Immunohistochemistry on frozen sections, Immunocytochemistry, Immunoprecipitation, Western blotting.
Storage: Store at 4C, or in small aliquots at -20C.
