Protein Family: CAM Ligands, Cell Adhesion Molecules, Cellular Antigens, Glycan Binding Proteins
Pathway and Disease: Signaling Molecules and Interaction, Infectious Diseases
Description:
CD62 antigen-like family member E (CD62E) is a cell-surface glycoprotein that plays a role in immunoadhesion. CD62E mediates the adhesion of blood neutrophils in cytokine-activated endothelium through interaction with PSGL1/SELPLG. CD62E is also involved in capillary morphogenesis. A polymorphism in position 149 is associated with a higher risk of coronary artery disease (CAD). A significantly higher mutation frequency (Arg-149) is observed in patients with angiographically proven severe atherosclerosis compared with an unselected population (Ser-149).
Alternate Names: CD62E, E-selectin, Endothelial leukocyte adhesion molecule 1, ELAM-1, Leukocyte-endothelial cell adhesion molecule 2, LECAM2, CD62 antigen-like family member E, SELE, ELAM1
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:100-1:500; IHC: 1:100-1:500
Accession No.: P16581
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the C-term region of human CD62E.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4, 0.1 mg/ml BSA, 50% glycerol with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-A chromatography.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment.
