Background:
This gene encodes a protein that belongs to the E2F familyof transcription factors. This protein regulates E2F-dependenttranscriptional activation and cell proliferation, mainly throughthe E2F/retinoblastoma protein pathway. It also functions in theregulaton of JUN oncogene expression. This protein showsdistinctive nuclear-mitotic apparatus distribution, it is involvedin spindle organization from prometaphase, and may also play a roleas a midzone factor involved in chromosome segregation orcytokinesis. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encodingthe same protein have been noted for this gene. Two pseudogeneshave also been identified on chromosome 1.
Other Names:
Cell division cycle-associated protein 4, Hematopoietic progenitor protein, CDCA4, HEPP
Gene Name: CDCA4
Gene ID: 55038
Primary Accession: Q9BXL8
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
