Background:
CNTROB encodes a centrosomal protein (centrobin, centriole duplication and spindle assembly protein) that interacts with BRCA2, and is required for centriole duplication and cytokinesis. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for CNTROB.
