Background:
CFH (Complement factor H) is a member of the Regulator of Complement Activation (RCA) gene cluster and a protein with twenty short concensus repeat (SCR) domains. This protein is secreted into the bloodstream and has an essential role in the regulation of complement activation, restricting this innate defense mechanism to microbial infections. Mutations in this CFH have been associated with hemolytic-uremic syndrome (HUS) and chronic hypocomplementemic nephropathy.
Alternative Name:
Complement factor H, H factor 1, CFH
Application Dilution: IHC: 1:50 - 1:200
Specificity: CFH polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of CFH protein.
Immunogen:
Recombinant full length Human CFH.
MW: ~ 139 kDa
Swis Prot.: P08603
Purification & Purity:
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Format:
1 mg/ml in Phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide, approx. pH 7.2.
Storage:
Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
