Background:
CHMP1B belongs to the chromatin-modifying protein/charged multivesicular body protein (CHMP) family. These proteins are components of ESCRT-III (endosomal sorting complex required for transport III), a complex involved in degradation of surface receptor proteins and formation of endocytic multivesicular bodies (MVBs). Some CHMPs have both nuclear and cytoplasmic/vesicular distributions, and one such CHMP, CHMP1A (MIM 164010), is required for both MVB formation and regulation of cell cycle progression (Tsang et al., 2006
Alternative Name:
Vps46B, C10orf2, C18orf2, CHMP1.5, Vps46-2, C18-ORF2, hVps46-2,
Application Dilution: WB: 1:500 - 1:2000, IHC: 1:50 - 1:200
Specificity: CHMP1B polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of CHMP1B protein.
Immunogen:
Recombinant protein of human CHMP1B.
MW: ~ 22 kDa
Swis Prot.: Q7LBR1
Purification & Purity:
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Format:
1mg/ml in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, pH7.3.
Storage:
Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
