Background:
This gene encodes a member of the CLK family of dual specificity protein kinases. CLK family members have been shown to interact with, and phosphorylate, serine- and arginine-rich (SR) proteins of the spliceosomal complex, which is a part of the regulatory mechanism that enables the SR proteins to control RNA splicing. Note that this gene is distinct from TELO2 gene (GeneID:9894), which shares CLK2 and hCLK2 symbol aliases in common with this gene, but encodes a protein that is involved in telomere length regulation.

Other Names:
Dual specificity protein kinase CLK2, CDC-like kinase 2, CLK2

Target/Specificity:
This CLK2 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 291-319 amino acids from the Central region of human CLK2.

Antigen Region:
291-319

Antigen Type: Synthetic Peptide

Gene Name: CLK2
Gene ID: 1196
Primary Accession: P49760
NCBI Accession: NP_003984.2
Other Accession: O35491; NP_003984.2
Format: Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
