Background:
This gene encodes a nucleic-acid binding protein withseven zinc-finger domains. The protein has a preference for bindingsingle stranded DNA and RNA. The protein functions incap-independent translation of ornithine decarboxylase mRNA, andmay also function in sterol-mediated transcriptional regulation. ACCTG expansion in the first intron of this gene results in myotonicdystrophy type 2. Multiple transcript variants encoding differentisoforms have been found for this gene.
Other Names:
Cellular nucleic acid-binding protein, CNBP, Zinc finger protein 9, CNBP, RNF163, ZNF9
Target/Specificity:
The synthetic peptide sequence is selected from aa 106-118 of HUMAN CNBP
Gene Name: CNBP (HGNC:13164)
Gene ID: 7555
Primary Accession: P62633
Other Accession: P62634; P53996; O42395; Q3T0Q6; NP_001120665.1
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
