Background:
Visual signal transduction is mediated by a G-protein coupled cascade using cGMP as second messenger. This protein can be activated by cyclic GMP which leads to an opening of the cation channel and thereby causing a depolarization of rod photoreceptors.
Alternative Name:
cGMP-gated cation channel alpha-1, Cyclic nucleotide-gated cation channel 1, Cyclic nucleotide-gated channel alpha-1, CNG channel alpha-1, CNG-1, CNG1, Cyclic nucleotide-gated channel, photoreceptor, Rod photoreceptor cGMP-gated channel subunit alpha, CNGA1, CNCG, CNCG1
Application Dilution: WB: 1:500~1:1000
Specificity: CNGA1 polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of CNGA1 protein.
Immunogen:
Synthetic peptide, corresponding Human CNGA1.
MW: ~ 79 kDa
Swis Prot.: P29973
Purification & Purity:
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Format:
1 mg/ml in Phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide, approx. pH 7.3.
Storage:
Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
