Background:
Three different procarboxypeptidases A and two different procarboxypeptidases B have been isolated. The B1 and B2 forms differ from each other mainly in isoelectric point. Carboxypeptidase B1 is a highly tissue-specific protein and is a useful serum marker for acute pancreatitis and dysfunction of pancreatic transplants. It is not elevated in pancreatic carcinoma.
Research Area: Metabolism, Signal Transduction
Synonyms:
Carboxypeptidase B, Carboxypeptidase B1 (tissue), Carboxypeptidase B1, CarboxypeptidaseB, CarboxypeptidaseB1, CBPB1, CP B1, CPB 1, CPB, CPB1, DKFZp779K1333, Pancreas specific protein, Pancreas-specific protein, Pancreatic carboxypeptidase B, Pancreatic carboxypeptidase B1, PASP, PCPB, Procarboxypeptidase B, Procarboxypeptidase B pancreatic, Protaminase, Tissue carboxypeptidase B
Immunogen: Recombinant protein of human CPB1
Swissprot: P15086
Gene Accession: BC015338
Purification Method: Affinity purification
Buffer: PBS with 0.05% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, PH7.4
Concentration: 0.5 mg/mL
Dilution: IHC 1:100-1:300
Storage:
Store at -20°C. Avoid freeze / thaw cycles.
