Background:
CPT1B is a member of the carnitine/choline acetyltransferase family, and is the rate-controlling enzyme of the long-chain fatty acid beta-oxidation pathway in muscle mitochondria. This enzyme is required for the net transport of long-chain fatty acyl-CoAs from the cytoplasm into the mitochondria.

Other Names:
Carnitine O-palmitoyltransferase 1, muscle isoform, CPT1-M, Carnitine O-palmitoyltransferase I, muscle isoform, CPT I, CPTI-M, Carnitine palmitoyltransferase 1B, Carnitine palmitoyltransferase I-like protein, CPT1B, KIAA1670

Target/Specificity:
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP2540a was selected from the N-term region of human CPT1B . A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.

Gene Name: CPT1B

Gene ID: 1375
Primary Accession: Q92523
Other Accession: NP_004368
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
