Background:
A number of specific carrier proteins for members of thevitamin A family have been discovered. Cellular retinoic acidbinding proteins (CRABP) are low molecular weight proteins whoseprecise function remains unknown. The inducibility of the CRABP2gene suggests that this isoform is important in retinoicacid-mediated regulation of human skin growth and differentiation. It has been postulated that the CRABP2 gene is transcriptionallyregulated by a newly synthesized regulatory protein. [provided byRefSeq].
Other Names:
Cellular retinoic acid-binding protein 2, Cellular retinoic acid-binding protein II, CRABP-II, CRABP2
Gene Name: CRABP2
Gene ID: 1382
Primary Accession: P29373
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
