Protein Family: Transcription Factors
Pathway and Disease: Development and Behavior, Endocrine System, Immune System, Infectious Diseases, Cancers, Neurodegenerative Disorders
Description:
Cyclic AMP-responsive element-binding protein 1 (CREB-1) is a protein binds the cAMP response element (CRE), a sequence present in many viral and cellular promoters. CREB-1 stimulates transcription on binding to the CRE. Transcription activation is enhanced by the TORC coactivators which act independently of Ser-133 phosphorylation. CREB-1 is implicated in synchronization of circadian rhythmicity. Defects in CREB-1 have been implicated in angiomatoid fibrous histiocytoma (AFH), a distinct variant of malignant fibrous histiocytoma that typically occurs in children and adolescents and is manifest by nodular subcutaneous growth.
Alternate Names: Cyclic AMP-responsive element-binding protein 1, cAMP-responsive element-binding protein 1, CREB-1, CREB1
Application Notes: E: 1:10,000-1:40,000; WB: 1:100-1:500; IHC: 1:50-1:50
Accession No.: P16220
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the N-term region of human CREB-1.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4, 2% BSA with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by immunogen affinity chromatography.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment.
