AC-BP8777c
Background:
Transfers 1,4-N-acetylgalactosamine (GalNAc) from UDP-GalNAc to the non-reducing end of glucuronic acid (GlcUA). It is required for addition of the first GalNAc to the core tetrasaccharide linker and for elongation of chondroitin chains.
Other Names:
Chondroitin sulfate N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase 2, Chondroitin beta-1,4-N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase 2, Beta4GalNAcT-2, GalNAcT-2, CSGALNACT2, CHGN2, GALNACT2
Target/Specificity:
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP8777c was selected from the Center region of human CSGALNACT2. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
Gene Name: CSGALNACT2
Gene ID: 55454
Primary Accession: Q8N6G5
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
