Protein Family: Enzymes
Pathway and Disease: Folding, Sorting and Degradation, Transcription, Translation
Alternate Names: Cleavage stimulation factor 64 kDa subunit; CSTF 64 kDa subunit; CF-1 64 kDa subunit; CstF-64; CSTF2
Accession No.: P33240, NP_001316
Description:
Cleavage stimulation factor 64 kDa subunit (CstF-64) is one of the multiple factors required for polyadenylation and 3'-end cleavage of mammalian pre-mRNAs. CstF-64 is directly involved in the binding to pre-mRNAs to form cleavage bodies, which are often adjacent to Cajal and PML bodies. The CSTF complex is composed of CSTF1 (50 kDa subunit), CSTF2 (64 kDa subunit) and CSTF3 (77 kDa subunit).
Format:
Each vial contains 0.1 mg of lyophilized peptide. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml deionized water for a final concentration of 1 mg/ml. Use at 5.6 ug/ml for a 100X excess over antibody for maximum blocking effect.
MW: 1872 g/mol
Sequence:
The synthetic peptide used to raise the antibody Cat. No. 200180 is selected from a sequence within the C-term region of human CstF-64. For blocking experiments, a 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended.
Composition:
C78H118N24O28S1
Purity:
> 80% by HPLC
Solubility:
Distilled water for a solution up to 2 mg/ml, otherwise we recommend using acetonitrile.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. The product is hygroscopic and must be protected from light. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment. Following reconstitution, store at -20°C.
