Background:
In diagnostic pathology, the immunohistochemical detection of CK1 (cytokeratin 1) is usually used to label squamous, ductal and compound epithelium by binding with other high molecular weight cytokeratins, such as cytokeratin 5, 10 and 14. The results are helpful for the classification of prostate cancer and epithelial cancer.
