Protein Family: Cytoskeleton Proteins
Pathway and Disease: Signaling Molecules and Interaction
Description:
Cytokeratin-19 (Keratin, type I cytoskeletal 19) is involved in the organization of myofibers. Cytokeratin-19 together with KRT8, helps link the contractile apparatus to dystrophin at the costameres of striated muscle. Cytokeratin-19 is expressed in a defined zone of basal keratinocytes in the deep outer root sheath of hair follicles. Cytokerating-19 is also observed in sweat gland and mammary gland ductal and secretory cells, bile ducts, gastrointestinal tract, bladder urothelium, oral epithelia, esophagus, ectocervical epithelium.
Alternate Names: Keratin, type I cytoskeletal 19, Cytokeratin-19, CK-19, Keratin-19, K19, KRT19
Application Notes: E: 1:10000; WB: 1:500-1:2000
Accession No.: P08727
Antigen: Purified recombinant fragment of Cytokeratin 19 (aa80-400) expressed in E. coli strain.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 ml ascitic fluid with 0.03% sodium azide.
Storage:
Store at 4°C for short term use only. Store at -20°C for storage over 1 month. Product is guaranteed 6 months from the date of shipment.
